Wolf BMW service and riding seminars

This winter we will again be holding a number of service seminars to help you get to know your bike better. These will not be highly technical but a general familiarization with the bikes and how to look after your own bike between services. We will show you some maintenance tasks that typical owners may want to take on themselves. We will cover bodywork removal, chassis checks and lubrication, and oil and filter changes. Spark plug and air filter replacement and valve clearance checking are among the possible topics, depending on group interest.

Each seminar will run from 10:00am to 2:00pm, with a lunch break (provided) at noon. The seminars are "free" in that there is no payment to Wolf BMW, but we collect a $20.00 donation to the Ride For Dad in support or prostate cancer research and treatment (tax receipts provided).

Saturday 23 January: R1200 Boxer
Saturday 6 February: K1200 Transverse Four
Saturday 20 February: F800 and F650 Twin

Please RSVP early to service@wolfbmw.com
or call (519)951-9482. Admission is limited.

Wolf BMW Advanced Rider Training

2008 school photo There’s nothing quite like being good at what you’re doing to make it more fun, and practice and training is a good way to get there. At Wolf BMW, we have been offering rider training to our customers for many years. We rent a race track for our exclusive use for the day, provide instruction, lunch, and emergency medical personnel on standby. These are street-riding schools, designed to give the opportunity to develop riding skills and reflexes in a safe environment. There is plenty of track time for all and no pressure to ride above your limits - quite the opposite in fact. Equally important, the other riders on the track are also there to learn and have fun. Those who have attended an "open track day" may appreciate the distinction here: we ride in small groups guided by the instructors, working on specific skills and building speed as the day goes on and riders become more comfortable with the pace and their bikes. As a result, we avoid the hazards involved in sharing the track with people who may be riding over their heads.

For 2010 we are running two schools, using both Shannonville's famous Nelson circuit and the Challenging Fabi track. Shannonville's multiple track layouts are fun and safe with good visibility and abundant run-off. Shannonville provides ideal conditions for rider training and is justifiably known as "the birhplace of champions".

Monday 7 June: Nelson circuit
Monday 26 July: Fabi circuit - NEW Master's course for returning ART grads.

These schools are offered on a not-for-profit basis as a service to our customers (and for fun!), but other BMW riders are welcome if space is available. Just $250; early-bird booking price of only $225 if you pay before 31 April.
