The unstoppable F800GS
  2008 F800GS

headlight guard protects from stones off-road
The all-new F800GS enduro is a new mid-sized adventure machine in the spirit of the all-conquering R1200GS Adventure. With abundant wheel travel and premium suspension and brakes, the F800GS has serious off-road capability. This is a bike for riding fun whether or not you have a specific destination planned, even if a gravel track is the only way to get there.

mud happens With 85 horsepower from the strong twin-cylinder engine pulling a dry weight of only 392 pounds, the F800GS will outperform much bigger bikes of only a few years ago. The smooth, low-maintenance F800 engine is a versatile unit and very rugged. As well as powering tens of thousands of F800S and ST street bikes, the 800cc twin is used in projects as varied as Chris Pfeiffer's championship-winning stunt bike and AMA flat track racing.

Tough wire-spoked wheels are 21-inch in front and 17 at the back, for off-road and rough-road capability and a wide selection of tires. Of course, safety features are not forgotten: antilock brakes and tire pressure monitoring are available.

The F800GS is a stable platform on road, too. With various luggage options to haul your gear to work or out to the country, this bike will also get you through when the roads end.
